Forecast Discussion

Will post a verification map in the next few days, but our total here in Irvington was 15″, right in line with the other towns around us with measurements ranging from 13.8″ to 15.2″ for the storm total. If we had not mixed, we could have easily gone over 18″…

This storm will usher in some pretty cold Arctic Air w/ an intense Northwest flow over the next few days. See the temperature anomalies, which are impressive:

This will give a dry couple of days to end the week, with temperatures 10-25° below normal:

The next system to watch, although I do not think it will be a whole lot of anything for us is the weekend. Right now it is a weak coastal low, similar to what we saw today but only w/ an inch or two. There is plenty of time for this to change, though, and the ensembles do have some interesting ideas…so we will keep an eye on it. Some general ideas though:

The ensembles have some interesting ideas for **POSSIBLE** snowfall:

The bottom line – we will keep an eye on it! Enjoy the snow, and the next few days of nice (cold) weather.
